EXCLUSIVE TRIBUTE CONCERT: TED GÄRDESTAD – Stockholm Concert Orchestra SIGNED PETER NORDAHL
On 20 February, Ted Gärdestad would have turned 70. To mark the anniversary, Peter Nordahl returns to the Concert Hall with his tribute to Ted Gärdestad in an exclusive concert together with the Stockholm Concert Orchestra.
On the critically acclaimed and Grammis-nominated album Ted Gärdestad – Signed Peter Nordahl, arranger and producer Peter Nordahl placed Ted Gärdestad’s voice in a new spotlight in 2017. For the first time in Swedish music history, the original vocals were separated from the recordings and combined with newly written orchestral arrangements.
After sold-out concerts across the country in 2017–2018, this is a unique chance to relive this innovative musical experience.
Ted Gärdestad’s voice and presence have touched generations. Together with his brother Kenneth, he created a timeless treasure trove of songs that combine poetic feeling with melodic brilliance. The audience will hear music from the early Ett stilla regn (A Quiet Rain) to the last recording I den stora sorgens famn (In the Embrace of Great Sorrow) and classics such as Himlen är oskyldigt blå (The Sky is Innocently Blue) and Sol, vind och vatten (Sun, Wind and Water).
